Cheryl Taylor, CFP®
Principal, Private Wealth Advisor
Cheryl joined Montage Wealth Management in 2017 as a principal and senior wealth manager. She believes that the client-wealth manager relationship is one that should last for a lifetime, not just through the duration of a few transactions. Her attention to detail and dedication to her clients’ bests interests has helped her to maintain strong, long-term relationships with the people she proudly works with.
Cheryl understands how overwhelming juggling the different facets of your financial life can be. Because of this, Cheryl is passionate about designing retirement income strategies that will suit your distinct financial situation and that are in alignment with your values and goals.
Helping clients to be forward-thinking while implementing a plan that effectively handles financial life’s challenges allows Cheryl to fulfill her calling as an advisor. She truly cares about every client she serves, and prides herself on knowing that she’s helping people enjoy the final stage of their lives through sufficient retirement income.
Cheryl has over thirty years of experience in the financial services industry, and she and her business partner, Mary, have collaborated throughout most of their careers to draw on each other’s unique skills and talents.
Prior to entering the financial services field, Cheryl graduated from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and went on to receive her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification from the American College of Financial Services. She had a brief career as a medical technologist before she realized that her true passion was in helping people financially, not physically, and changed the course of her life accordingly.
Cheryl and her husband, Bruce, have been married since 1974, and enjoy volunteering with their church, working with international communities to get back on their feet. Together they raised two children and now enjoy two grandchildren. Cheryl also enjoys exercising, traveling, gardening and serving as a volunteer on her church’s financial team.
